The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that with the Diyarbakır Southwest Ring Road, which will be opened on October 23, the travel time will be reduced from 40 minutes to 15 minutes and pointed out that transportation will be fast, comfortable and safe.

In a written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was noted that work continues at construction sites all over Turkey day and night.

In the statement, which emphasized that Pendik-Sabiha Gökçen Metro, Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road and Troy-Assos Tunnels were put into service for the citizens in October, “Diyarbakır Southwest Ring Road was also welcomed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu on Sunday, October 23. will open. With the Ring Road, which was built to regulate the traffic in Diyarbakır, the density caused by the transit traffic coming from Elazığ, Şanlıurfa and Mardin directions in the city was relieved, traffic safety was increased and accidents were prevented.

Pointing out that the city's ring road network has been increased by the Diyarbakır Southwest Ring Road, which connects the Diyarbakır-Şanlıurfa and Diyarbakır-Mardin axes, with a total length of 29,3 kilometers, the statement said, “With the integration of the Southwest Ring Road into the 13 kilometer Northwest Ring Road, the length of Diyarbakır's ring road. It reaches a total length of 42,3 kilometers. With the ring road, which provides comfortable transportation to its users, the city crossing of Diyarbakir has been shortened by 4 kilometers. The travel time, which lasted 40 minutes, was shortened by 25 minutes to 15 minutes.
