Providing support to sports and athletes to organize many organizations in Kocaeli, the Metropolitan has this time counted down for the International Kocaeli Kick Boxing (K-1) Belt Championship. In this context, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, Darıca Municipality and Gebze Altay Specialized Sports Club will ensure that a championship in the international arena will be held in Darıca in line with the 'Sports City Kocaeli' vision.
4 FOREIGN ATHLETES FROM 6 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES
The championship will take place at the Darıca Eray Şamdan Sports Hall, which was completed and put into service last year by the Metropolitan Municipality. In the Kick Boxing (K-34) Belt Championship, where a total of 4 athletes, 6 from our country and 40 foreigners from 1 different countries, will compete, 11 competitions, 9 sub and 20 professional, will be held. The championship, where entries will be free, will start on Friday, October 28 at 19.00 and the event will be broadcast live on the Sports TV channel.

National Teams coach and founder of Altay Specialized Sports Club İsmail Altay thanked the names who contributed to the realization of the championship at the launch meeting he held. Altay said, “Sports is a work of the heart. I would like to thank our Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Tahir Büyükakın, who contributed to the realization of this organization by supporting sports and athletes. The international championship will also be beneficial for the promotion of Kocaeli and Darıca. I am waiting for all sports fans to the championship,” he said.
