İBB is opening new sea route lines that will give a breath of fresh air to urban transportation. 7 new seaway lines parallel to the coast and between two continents will be put into service as of November 1st. Two new lines integrated into the Rumeli Hisarüstü – Aşiyan Funicular opened on 2 October. As of November 28, all transfers to or from sea lines will have a 1 percent discount. It is aimed that the new lines will increase sea transportation by 50 percent in the short term.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is putting new seaway lines into service in order to increase the sea share in transportation. The Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn parallel to the coast 7 new lines are waiting for their passengers as of November 1. The new lines put into service with the decision taken at the UKOME meeting held last September are as follows;
KADIKOY-EYUP 50 MINUTES
Kadıköy The service time of the line, which will serve between Kasımpaşa - Fener - Sütlüce - Eyüp, is foreseen as 50 minutes. A passenger engine with a capacity of 24 people in winter and at least 400 people in summer will be used on the line, which is planned to make 550 trips per hour, per hour. Besiktas – Kabataş – On the Karaköy – Kasımpaşa – Sütlüce – Eyüp Line, 12 daily trips are planned. The journey time of this line, which will be served by passenger motors, will be 50 minutes.
FROM MALTEPE TO THE ISLANDS
The duration of the Maltepe - Büyükada - Heybeliada - Burgazada - Kınalıada line will be 65 minutes. In fact, it is planned to make 24 trips per day. It is planned to use a passenger engine with a winter passenger capacity of at least 400 and a summer passenger capacity of at least 550. Çengelköy, the duration of which is foreseen as 20 minutes - Kabataş It is planned to make 24 trips per day on the line. A passenger engine with a winter passenger capacity of at least 220 people and a summer passenger capacity of at least 330 people will be used on this line.
Bostancı – Moda – to serve between two continents Kadıköy - Kabataş The duration of the line will be 70 minutes. In fact, it is planned to make 10 trips per day. Passenger engines with a winter passenger capacity of at least 220 people and a summer passenger capacity of at least 330 people are planned to be used on this line.
AVCILAR-BAKIRKOY-KADIKOY SEA BUS
Avcılar – Bakırköy – the duration of the expedition is foreseen as 50 minutes. Kadıköy The line is planned to operate 24 times a day. This line will be served by sea bus with a passenger capacity of at least 350 people in winter and summer. On the Avcılar-Bostancı line, which will reduce the distance between Avcılar and Bostancı to 45 minutes, 20 daily trips are planned. Sea buses with a winter and summer passenger capacity of at least 350 people will be used on this line.
The tariff of the sea lines, which will start to serve on November 1, will be as follows:
- 2,80 mile Çengelköy – Kabataş Line 9,47 lira,
- 5,10 miles Beşiktaş – Eyüp Line 11,50 liras,
- 6,07 miles Kadıköy – Eyüp Line 11,50 lira,
- 14,40 mile Hunters – Kadıköy Line 28,74 lira,
- 17,51 miles Avcılar – Bostancı 31,85 liras,
- 7,60 mile Maltepe – Islands Line 21,90 lira,
- 8 miles of Bostanci – Kabataş The line is 11,50 liras.
2 LINES TO ASIYAN
IMM to Rumeli Hisarüstü – Aşiyan Funicular, which was opened on October 28 It also put into service 2 lines that will be integrated. On the Aşiyan-Üsküdar line, there will be 44 daily flights and the duration of the trip will be 25 minutes. In addition, as of November 1, all transfers to or from sea lines will have a 50 percent discount.
