Within the scope of the program that will last until October 24 with the theme of the XNUMXth anniversary celebrations of Izmir's liberation, the historical district will be the scene of colorful cultural and artistic events. The slogan of the colorful meeting was determined as “multicolor in Basmane”.
The sixth of Basmane Days, which aims to protect and promote the cultural heritage of the region, will start at 17.30 with the opening of the “Multicolor in Basmane” exhibition at Lale Fırını. Later, within the scope of the program "Those Who Leave a Trace in Basmane", signs with the names of Sümerbank's founder, former minister Nurullah Esat Sumer, and his brother, famous painter Ayetullah Sumer, will be hung on the street where the two brothers live in order to keep their names intact. From here, you will be transferred to the program at Bıçakçı Han. The opening speeches at 18.00 will be held with “Basmane Through the Eyes of the Photographer” and the cocktail party of Bedriye Gülay Beşikçi's painting exhibitions. The exhibitions can be visited until October 24.
