The 20th “State Photo Contest” organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to support the work of photographers in Turkey and to promote the art of photography, has been concluded.
In the competition held in 3 different categories by the General Directorate of Fine Arts, 611 photographs were awarded among 1451 works of 56 participants, evaluated by the selection committee.
2 achievements and 17 exhibitions in the "Human and Life" category, 3 achievements and 16 exhibitions in the "Natural Life" category, 2 achievements and 16 exhibitions in the "Historical Buildings" category will be presented to the owners of the works and the monetary prize will be 119 thousand TL in total.
In the selection committee consisting of academicians and photographers who evaluated the works deemed worthy of the award, Prof. Emre Ikizler, Dr. Sefa Ulukan, Celal Gezici and Dilek Uyar and Deputy Director General of Fine Arts Dr. Alper Ozkan took place.
