The opening ceremony of the 132nd China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was held online today.
Within the scope of the fair, the main theme of which is "the combination of bilateral circulation and internal and external circulation", online halls were created, platforms were established to enable companies and buyers to contact, and a cross-border e-commerce section was established.
A total of 16 exhibition areas were established in 50 categories for export products, while different exhibition areas were created in 6 categories for imported products.
The number of companies participating in the fair increased by 9 compared to the previous year and reached 600 thousand.
It was reported that the number of smart products exceeded 130 thousand, and the number of green and low-carbon products exceeded 500 thousand. The number of products for which Chinese companies have patents and copyrights exceeded 260 thousand.
The fair will remain open online for five months.
