Irit Lillian (born 1962, Rehovot) was Israel's Ambassador to Bulgaria from 2015 to 2019. When Naftali Tamir was recalled as Australian Ambassador, Lillian became Acting Ambassador.
During his military service, Lillian was a producer and editor at the IDF radio station (Galei Tsahal). She holds a BA in Archeology and Egyptology from Tel Aviv University and a MA in Oriental and Western Studies from HUJ. Lillian joined the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1986. Appointed as Israel's Ambassador to Turkey, Lillian eventually served as a charge d'affaires at the Ankara Embassy.

Relations between Turkey and Israel have been carried out by charge d'affaires in embassies since May 15, 2018, due to Israel's atrocities, especially against the Palestinians.
Sharing her positive views with the members of the press during the Turkey-Israel meetings held last month, Irit Lillian said, “We know that there are some points that we do not agree with at the moment. We can move forward and solve it later,” she had said.
