The Ro-Ro ship Lider Admiral will make its maiden voyage on Friday, September 30, with the enlargement and capacity increase in Ünye Port, which was previously unsuitable for the entrance of large tonnage vessels in terms of berth length and depth.

HIGH-TONNAGE VESSELS CAN NOW berth at the port

Under the leadership of President Güler, enlargement and capacity increase studies were carried out in order to ensure that the port, which has an important place due to its geographical location but is insufficient for the development of industry and logistics, has national and international competence.

Within the scope of the works carried out, an additional 150 meters were built at Ünye Port, where ships of 10 thousand tons and above could not berth due to the 130-meter quay that existed for years. In addition to the additional berth, the depth, which is of great importance for high-tonnage ships, was also evaluated, and the depth was increased from 6,80 to 7,50.

On the other hand, the port, which will directly affect factors such as logistics and industry, will also contribute to employment.
