Kanlıdere's New Bridge, which was built in 40 days with a total investment of 89 million TL, was opened to traffic with a ceremony. President Hayrettin Güngör said, “Today we are not just opening a bridge. With our Castle, Grand Bazaar and Ulu Mosque, which is the center of our historical fabric, and Sarayaltı street here, we form the basis of a project that serves for the change and transformation of this place. We made an investment of 100 million TL here with restorations and expropriations. To this bridge, our elder from Kahramanmaraş; We give the name of Ali Sezal, our former deputy and mayor, whose childhood and most of his life passed here. Good luck,” he said.

One of the giant transportation investments of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Kanlıdere's New Bridge was opened to traffic with a ceremony. The project, which was brought to life with an investment of 40 million TL, was built and put into service in the 17-day period determined at the groundbreaking ceremony on 89 June. In addition to Metropolitan Mayor Hayrettin Güngör, Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Mahir Ünal, Kahramanmaraş Deputies Ahmet Özdemir, Habibe Öçal, Cihat Sezal, Provincial Police Chief Salim Cebeloğlu, AK Party Local Deputy Chairman of the Administration Mücahit Yanılmaz, AK Party Provincial President Fırat Görgel, MHP Provincial President Ertuğrul Doğan, district mayors, members of the organization, NGO representatives, neighborhood headmen and many citizens took part. After the National Anthem and a minute's silence, the event started with the performances of Abdal Halil Ağa Torunları, who took the stage with drums and zurnas, and continued with a mini concert by Ozan Hacı Mert and Ali Çorukçu from Afşin.

In his speech, Dulkadiroğlu Mayor Necati Okay said, “Hopefully, the traffic of our New Kanlıdere Bridge, which is completed in 89 days, to our Kahramanmaraş; I know that it will contribute to the change, transformation and beautification of our Dulkadiroğlu. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, in the presence of our Honorable President Hayrettin Güngör. I say good luck to their hands," he said.

Speaking at the opening, Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Hayrettin Güngör said, “If there is a success, it is not mine, it is a success we made together. Success is teamwork. Under the leadership of our President, we see where our Turkey has come from. We are trying to implement our projects and services within the framework of the vision drawn by them and the principles and targets set by our party in the manifesto of local governments. Our 2-year period was the recovery and project preparation phase. We have increased our institutional capacity. We collect the demands in a pool, reveal their needs and priorities, design and implement them. We have done and are doing very good work in every settlement, in every district, in every neighborhood of our city. We are increasing our investment capacity every year," he said.

Mayor Güngör emphasized that the bridge, which was opened in the continuation of his speech, is the first step of a much larger project: “Last Friday, we completed our 90-day target and opened our Tevfik Kadıoğlu Köprülü Interchange. Today, we are opening our New Kanlıdere Bridge with a target of 89 days. good luck. Today we are not just opening a bridge. With our Castle, Grand Bazaar and Ulu Mosque, which are the center of our historical fabric, and Sarayaltı street here, we form the basis of a project that serves for the change and transformation of this place. We connect the approximately 1 kilometer Sarayaltı road to the Castle. Here, our expropriation procedures have reached the final stage. We talked to our tradesmen, we are opening a new corridor here. We have nationalized over 95 percent. We are creating a very important area of ​​attraction in the middle of our historical fabric.”

Historic Buildings are Under Protection

Noting that historical buildings are also under protection, Mayor Güngör said, “The cost of this bridge is 36 million TL. An investment of 40 million TL was realized with asphalt. We have made expropriation investments in the region over 40 million TL. Here, we made the tender for Kadıoğlu Mansion, Hayrigül 1-2 mansion. An investment of 18 million TL has started. Hopefully, we will have brought a beautiful work to our Kahramanmaraş with both accommodation and eating and drinking places before it takes 6 months. We restored Arslanbey's Mansion, the commander of our liberation struggle, with an investment of 5 million TL, and brought it to the final stage. I hope we will keep his memory alive. In total, an investment of over 100 million TL is being made here.”

Continuing his speech, Chairman Güngör also said about the name of the new bridge, “This is the place where the story of our heroes and ancestors is; The castle is part of a transformation that includes the Great Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Let someone lash out at our ancestors to look cute to others. Here is Kahramanmaras. In the coming days, we will ensure traffic flow on our bridge and boulevard, which is another very big project of ours, bearing the name of our late deputy İmran Kılıç. We also had to give a name to our Kanlıdere Bridge. Our elder from Kahramanmaraş; We give the name of Ali Sezal, our former deputy and mayor, whose childhood and most of his life passed here. I say good luck. I am emphasizing that we cannot build our future without seeing our past.”

“3 Billion TL Investment Made in 3,5 Years”

In his speech, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Mahir Ünal said, “I would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor, Mr. Hayrettin Güngör, who brought us together with a good service today. We need to rebuild the spirit, identity, character, historical texture of our Kahramanmaraş by centered on Kale. We live in a city with a story and history. The other day, we had our last meeting with our Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum. With the work of Hilmi Şenalp, one of Turkey's best architects, the new architecture of the Tekke emerged. The new historical texture of the surroundings of the Ulu Mosque and Maraş Bazaar has emerged. In the last 3 years, the investment of the Metropolitan Municipality in Kahramanmaraş is 3,3 billion TL. AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş stated in his speech that they are taking firm steps towards their 2023 targets and said, “I congratulate our Metropolitan Mayor and our related friends. In 3 years, our Metropolitan Municipality invested 3,5 billion TL and our central government invested 60 billion TL in Kahramanmaraş. With these investments, our most important ideal is to re-establish a strong and great Turkey. Dear people of Maraş, believe me, we need this spirit of independence more than ever in the times we live in. Thank God, we manufacture our UAVs and SİHAs, and we float our own ships in our seas.
