Organized with the support of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) and Gazi University, the National Workshop on Unlicensed Solar Power Plants is sponsored by the Global Energy Association-EIF.

The Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) entered into force on 11 August 2022. This regulation, which allows all consumers to produce the 'energy they consume' from the sun, and which has real consumption but cannot establish a production facility due to capacity constraints and space problems, and enabling consumers to easily produce the needed electricity, has been retroactively implemented as of May 2019. started to be implemented.

Ankara Branch of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers, which always works with the aim of informing the public in an objective and accurate manner and supports the Green Consensus; By putting this issue on the table, it saw that it should be discussed comprehensively with all its aspects and with all stakeholders, and decided to share the opinion of the Branch, which will be formed in line with all the information obtained by organizing a workshop, with the public.” it was said.

The aim of this workshop; To comprehensively address the positive/negative situations that unlicensed energy consumers (producers) face or may encounter, by bringing together energy producers, distributors and controllers, policy developers, experts, investors, planners, academics and especially EMO Ankara Branch members, where the world is experiencing an energy crisis. to produce comprehensive ideas, suggestions, criticisms, recommendations and solutions, to report and disclose them to the public in order to evaluate the risks encountered in this field in a more comprehensive manner and to shed light on the new studies to be made by evaluating the regulation on this subject in detail.

Participation in this workshop, which we organized in cooperation with Gazi University TF Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, is free of charge and will be open to all parties interested in the subject. The workshop will consist of 2 parts. In the first part, invited speakers will examine the subject from different perspectives. In the second part, it will be possible to ask questions to the participants and the speakers. If the speakers allow (as per KVKK), the workshop will also be broadcast live.
