Production and testing of the National Electric Train Set continues at the Sakarya Regional Directorate of the Turkish Rail System Vehicles Industry Joint Stock Company (TÜRASAŞ), affiliated to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. TÜRASAŞ Sakarya Regional Manager Erdal Aba met with members of the press at the directorate building and gave information about their work.

TÜRASAŞ Regional Manager Dr. Erdal Aba, Deputy Regional Managers Ali Kozallık, Burhan Türk, Ahmet Emin Doğdubay, coordinator Nuri Cankır gave information about the "Domestic and National Train" sets at the press briefing held at the regional directorate. Expressing that the test and production works of the National Electric Train Set are continuing, Aba made a presentation about the technical information of the train. Aba also showed the members of the press the footage of the train's braking, speed and general tests. Aba, who toured the production facilities and the interior of the train, which was completed with members of the press, gave information about the interior of the train. The two trains, whose construction was completed later, were run on the rails in the production facility. Erdal Aba said, "2 sets of our "Domestic and National Train" sets are ready, we will start passenger transportation on the main lines at the end of the year.

BRAKE TESTS TAKE A LONG
Dr. Erdal Aba talked about the brake tests of train sets at the press briefing. The regional manager stated that the brake tests are carried out according to the European norms and according to certain criteria and said, "Brake tests are carried out at 160 km speed in the presence of experts, the brake train to be made suddenly at 160 km speed should stop at 1000 meters. According to the test results of the experts, our productions received the highest safety certificate."
FIRST MANUFACTURING PLACE WAS VISITED
Giving information to the members of the press at the work sites in the factory, Dr. Erdal Aba said that the construction of the “Domestic and National Train” set started with flat and narrow aluminum alloys, and continued as follows; “The flat and narrow aluminum alloy materials are welded by robotic welding, again by robots, and a huge wagon skeleton emerges. Later, we come across as a train walking on the rails after some progresses, sandblasting before painting, painting, interior arrangement and many works, all of these works stick in our TÜRAŞAS factory and our train is completely "Domestic and National."
TWO SERIES ARE READY
TÜRASAŞ regional manager DR. Erdal Aba had his experience done in the last control section of the 2 sets of “Domestic and National” trains, all tests of which were completed and made to enter the safer. Talking to the driver and machinists from a distance, the regional manager gave the instruction, "Blow a loud horn and turn on your headlights, and come towards us". The machinists followed the instruction and brought the 2 train sets to the area where the members of the press were.
