Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş made investigations in the neighborhoods affected by the rain in Mudanya. Examining the efforts started to heal the flood wounds, Governor Canbolat said that after the heavy and effective rain, damages and floods occurred in the workplaces and houses. Stating that some of the streets were closed due to the overflowing rain water, Canbolat said, “We are grateful that we did not have any casualties. From the first minute, as the governorship, as AFAD, our Metropolitan Municipality, and all of our other teams, our district governor, we are involved in the event. We mobilized with our teams. Damage assessment and cleaning work has begun. We will work until the morning to eliminate the flood in the streets," he said.

More than 700 notifications

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş stated that they were happy because there was no loss of life and said that there was an abnormal and long-term rainfall. Stating that they received more than 451 notifications from 300 districts, 13 of them from the city center and around 700 from Mudanya, after the rain, Mayor Aktaş said, “Park gardens, Fire Brigade, Buski. Afad, as DSI, we are massing vehicles and personnel in these regions. We are trying to bring life back to normal in Mudanya. Teams will work until the morning and we will try to bring life back to normal by Allah's leave. There are a few chronic problems, especially those related to the creek above. We will work on its disposal as soon as possible. Indeed, perhaps the largest rainfall in the last thirty years. "There was an abnormal rainfall and a prolonged rainfall," he said.
