Another project in the field of forestry and nature tourism at Kastamonu University (KU) was entitled to be supported. The project presented by the KU Tourism Faculty within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education (KA220-ADU) activity carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Presidency for EU Affairs, and the Turkish National Agency will be supported with a grant of maximum 250 thousand Euros.
Coordinated by KU, the project titled “Enhancing The Sustainable Rural Development Through A Homestay Tourism Training Moodle And Creating A Digital Eurasian Local Recipe Book” presented during the 2022 call for proposals was conducted by the Head of Tourism Guidance Department of the Faculty of Tourism. Faculty Member Nagihan Çakmakoğlu will be the beekeeper.
The project, carried out jointly with the University of Sannio (Universita Degli Studi Del Sannio) from Italy, the University of Seville (Universidad De Sevilla) from Spain and the University of Stavanger (Universitetet I Stavanger) from Norway, will start in October 2022 and will last for 24 months.
Within the scope of the project, a remote online and 5-language joint training module covering home boarding training for the local people living in the rural areas of Kastamonu and partner organizations will be created, as well as a digital Eurasian cookbook compatible with virtual and augmented reality, containing the local dishes of these four organizations. In this way, development in rural areas will be supported by training adults in a multicultural technology-oriented environment.
