Under the coordination of AFAD, Turkey continues to extend a helping hand to Pakistan, where millions of people have been affected by floods and floods, by air and land.

The 4th Goodness Train, carrying humanitarian aid prepared for the people of Pakistan with the support of NGOs under the coordination of the Ministry of Interior AFAD, will depart from the Historical Ankara Train Station on Friday, September 9, 2022.

The 5th Kindness Train will be shipped from Mersin on 13.09.2022 Tuesday, and the 6th Kindness Train from Van on Friday 16.09.2022.

As of 08.09.2022, 12 planes carrying aid, 3 Goodness Train and locally procured, in total under the coordination of AFAD;

  • 19.155 family type tents,
  • 47.631 food parcels and cleaning materials
  • 44.637 food parcels,
  • 2.994 baby food and hygiene kits
  • 38.796 blankets, mattresses, pillows, etc.
  • 5.040 unit kitchen set
  • 9.009 units of clothing and carpets
  • 586.572 units of medical supplies
  • 50 motorboats were sent.

Under the chairmanship of the AFAD Vice President, a total of 11 people, including 3 AFAD personnel, a 8-person health team and 22 NGO officials, are working in Pakistan to coordinate the distribution of aid materials in the region and to assist in the establishment of tent cities.

After the 16st Goodness Train (30.08.2022 wagons about 1 tons), which was sent with tents and humanitarian aid materials on 29 with 500 NGOs under the coordination of AFAD, with the 01.09.2022nd Goodness Train (2 wagons about 28 tons) on 453, 06.09.2022 Tents and humanitarian aid materials were dispatched to the region with the 3rd Goodness Train (25 wagons, approximately 421 tons).

Within the framework of the plans made by AFAD for the dispatch of aid materials by trains with the State Railways and by planes with the Ministry of National Defense; Humanitarian aid continues by establishing an air bridge.
