“We Are Called 'Evidence Hunters of Dark Waters'”

Police officer Oktay Oytan also stated that he has been working as a "frog man" for about 3 years and said, "I am proud to work in this distinguished unit of the Police Department. Explaining the difficulties of working underwater, Oytan said: “One of our duties is to remove the evidence of crimes thrown into the water. The first thing that comes to the minds of the criminals is that the evidence thrown into the water cannot be removed, but our organization nullifies all thoughts in this way. We are called 'evidence hunters of the dark waters', no evidence has ever been seen to have disappeared from our hands. We're trying to get it out as best we can. It is among our duties to bring our drowned citizens to the surface. It is also our duty to detect and remove explosives and narcotic substances in the lower hulls of the ships.”

Erdoğan Özcan, one of the police officers, also explained that they also inform the society about drowning cases, and said, “The announcement that we are on duty the most here is the drowning case. Especially the 7-17 age group swims in the irrigation canal. As Adana Provincial Police Department, we take them to the nearest swimming pools free of charge. We do our best to raise awareness of them.” used the phrases.
