China Media Group (CMG) signed the 2024 Paris Olympics International Public Signal Production Cooperation Agreement with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) yesterday.

Thus, CMG officially became one of the broadcasting units of the Paris Olympic Games.

According to the agreement, CMG will be one of the state radio and television companies producing public signals in the most categories of the Paris Olympics, taking on the task of producing international public signals for the four categories of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, including gymnastics, table tennis, badminton and rock climbing.

CMG President Shen Haixiong and OBS CEO Yiannis Exarchos attended the online signing ceremony.

International Olympic Committee (ICO) President Thomas Bach congratulated CMG on officially becoming the international public signal generation unit for the Paris Olympic Games.

Shen Haixiong said, “As the IOC gives us this opportunity, we will definitely gift the world a surprise!” he said.

CMG, which started producing international public signals for the first time during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, has been invited to produce public signals for the summer Olympics every semester thereafter.

At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, CMG led the broadcast world with ultra-high definition technology and professional standards.

During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, CMG took over the broadcasting role for a winter Olympics for the first time, producing a full 4K standard broadcast signal for the Olympic events. Broadcasting in 6 sub-branches including curling, snowborad U-Ramp and freestyle aerial skills, CMG received praise from its peers around the world.

Adhering to the strategic leadership of “5G+4K/8K+Artificial Intelligence”, CMG pioneered the production of 8K signals for projects including the opening and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics.

In addition, he used the ultra-high-speed orbital camera system and Artificial Intelligence technology, which he developed based on his own power, in the production of international broadcast signals for the Olympic games.

OBS CEO Yiannis Exarchos has repeatedly evaluated that CMG, which consistently ranks first in the world in public signal generation, has become the world's most forward-looking and talented broadcaster.
