Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu's statement that they will start restoration work in order to make the Atatürk Mansion compatible with its importance won the appreciation of all segments. Stating that the Atatürk Mansion, which is almost the symbol of the city, will be closed to visitors on Tuesday, September 20, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We aim to hold the reception on October 100, 29, the 2023th anniversary of our Republic, in the garden of Atatürk Mansion.”
The Atatürk Mansion, where the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was hosted during his visits to our city in 1924 and 1930, and where he stayed during his visits in 1937 and in which he wrote his will, is closed to visitors on Tuesday, September 20, in order to make it compatible with its importance. Expressing at every opportunity that they want to make the Atatürk Mansion, which is almost the symbol of Trabzon, worthy of its name, Metropolitan Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu announced that they will carry out a comprehensive restoration work in the past days.
WILL BE CLOSED TO VISIT ON SEPTEMBER 20
Stating that the Atatürk Mansion, which is visited by an average of 300 thousand people a year, both structurally wear out and wear out and deformations in the goods inside, President Zorluoğlu said, “Atatürk Mansion is one of the very important places of our city. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, was hosted there for the first time in 1924 when he visited our city. He was hosted in this mansion again during his visit in 1930. However, during his last visit in 1937, he stayed in this place for 2 nights and wrote his will. As a city, it is an honor for us to have this building. We attribute a special importance to the Atatürk Mansion. For this reason, the 'Atatürk Mansion Restoration and Conservation' project was prepared by our Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality for the repair of the building, and the project, which was approved by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Board, was tendered on August 24, 2022. On September 20, the Mansion will be closed to visitors and the renovation work will begin.”

Expressing that experts on the subject come to Trabzon from Ankara in line with the importance they attach to the restoration of the Atatürk Mansion, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “In the past years, restoration work was carried out from time to time, with a limited scope. In the work we will do, which has not been done before, all the items in the space, from signboards, photographs, writing, furniture and curtains, will be overhauled. And we do this with a completely professional approach. A team from Ankara who do these things very well came to our city. We had long meetings. We're going to take these things very neatly and get them out of there. The deterioration of the furniture and various problems will be eliminated during this process, and when the restoration of the Mansion is completed, we will put the furniture back in its place.
WE AIM TO GIVE THE 100TH YEAR RECEPTION IN THE GARDEN OF THE KÖŞKÜN
Expressing that the Atatürk Mansion will make a name for itself more nationally and internationally after the restoration, President Zorluoğlu said, “Atatürk Mansion will be opened to the service of our people, both structurally and in terms of its furnishings, on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our Republic. . It is our wish that the 29 October 2023 reception will be held in the garden of Atatürk Mansion. We have such a goal,” he said.

Disinformation-oriented statements made from time to time on this subject also reveal the accuracy of our work. It is a source of pride for our city to have this work, in which Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the common value of our nation, was hosted 3 times, and our municipality and our people will continue to protect this invaluable heritage, as they have up until now.”
THE WORK TO BE DONE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE TENDER IS AS FOLLOWS
On the other hand, in the statement made by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, the works to be carried out within the scope of the tender are listed as follows;

- Repairing and restoring mites
- Repairing the existing water cistern in the building and making it operational again
- Scraping the paint of the wall and ceiling reliefs and repairing the detail losses Painting with the appropriate paint

- Repairing the deterioration of windows and metal parts and replacing the parts lost in accordance with the original.
