Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to provide better quality service to the citizens of the Capital. EGO General Directorate held a kick-off meeting for the use of video management system and artificial intelligence in public transport buses.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to ensure that the citizens of the Capital City receive better quality service in all matters related to the city.

In line with ABB's quality service approach, EGO General Directorate held the project kick-off meeting on “Video Management System for Public Transport Buses and Artificial Intelligence-Based Analytical Transactions”.

EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş, Deputy General Manager Zafer Tekbudak and Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Department Head İsmail Nalbant, HAVELSAN Information and Communication Technologies Assistant General Manager Ömer Özkan and Programs Director Karaca Demirbağ and technical personnel of both institutions attended the meeting held at HAVELSAN campus.

IT WILL MAKE THE LIFE OF CITIZENS EASIER

Within the scope of the project, the contract of which was signed in August, an artificial intelligence-based system will be installed using the existing cameras of 400 new buses belonging to the EGO General Directorate. Thanks to this system, the behavior of the drivers will be determined and the service quality will be increased. In addition, with the artificial intelligence system that will monitor and report the behavior of the personnel at many points from compliance with traffic rules to communication with citizens; passenger density in the vehicle can also be detected instantly.

The project, which aims to facilitate the life of citizens by increasing comfort in public transportation in the capital, is planned to be completed within six months.
