State Airports Authority (DHMI) Trabzon Airport Chief Director Sezgin Değirmenci visited Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu. President Hacısalihoğlu emphasized that Trabzon Airport, where more than 16 thousand domestic and international flights took place in the January-August period, should definitely be improved with additional constructions before the new season, and said, “Airports are the places where the first impression of the city is obtained. For this reason, it is very important that they are modern and that the services are not interrupted.”

DHMI Trabzon Airport Chief Director Sezgin Değirmenci stated that they left behind a busy tourism season and said, “We have already started the preparations for the next season. Our goal is to ensure that services are not disrupted. We make great efforts with all our colleagues in this regard. There are various projects to raise the service standards of our airport before the new tourism season. These are intended to be completed as soon as possible. We expect to experience 35-40 percent more density next year compared to this year," he said.

“NEXT SEASON, THE NUMBER OF TOURISTS WILL INCREASE, WE HAVE TO BE READY FOR THIS INTENSITY”

TTSO President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu thanked everyone working at Trabzon Airport for their efforts during the tourism season, on behalf of the business world of Trabzon, and said, “For domestic and foreign tourists, airports are the places where they get their first impression of the city. For this reason, the service provided at the airports is important. We know that new projects are being prepared for Trabzon Airport. However, the implementation of a project takes 4-5 years. There is no time to wait for this in a city like ours, whose density is increasing day by day. For this reason, it is our expectation that the current situation, especially in international lines, will be improved as soon as possible with additional constructions. As a result of the survey studies we have made, we predict that the number of tourists will increase in the next season. Therefore, as a city, we must be ready for this.”
