Products Produced by BelPlas Opened to the International Market

The products produced by BelPlas, one of the subsidiaries of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, were opened to the international market. BelPlas, which offers many proprietary products from liquid fertilizers to road marking paints, from de-icing solutions to cosmetic oils, on e-commerce sites, earned 1,4 million dollars from the export of road marking paints alone.

The products produced by BelPlas Ankara Thermoplastic and Maintenance and Repair Services Inc., one of the affiliates of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, were opened to international markets.

BelPlas, which produces many proprietary products from liquid fertilizers to road marking paints, from de-icing solutions to cosmetic oils at affordable prices and offers them for sale on e-commerce sites, started to export the road marking paint it produced upon the demand from abroad after the domestic applications.

1,4 MILLION DOLLARS OF REVENUE MADE

The company, which has accelerated its R&D studies in Ankara and expanded its production areas since 2019 and started the production of innovative products, carries out both the production and sales of many organic and chemical products.

BelPlas, whose road marking paint is among the products preferred in the foreign market, surpassed the world's leading paint companies and earned 1,4 million dollars, or approximately 25 million TL, from this export.

ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO THE NEED

Emphasizing that the products produced by BelPlas are preferred because of their quality, durability and environmental friendliness that prioritizes social benefit, BelPlas AŞ Deputy General Manager Dr. Mustafa Hazman said:

“Our 25 million TL road paint export is a first in the history of ABB and even in the history of metropolitan cities. Like other firsts we've accomplished, this first is not a coincidence. I think that this will be better understood with the difference in vision and understanding brought by the new management. When we produced 1.2 million LT of microbial fertilizer, we acted not to produce any fertilizer and distribute it to the farmer, but with the understanding of 'How is Ankara soil, what is the lack of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, how can the cost of Ankara farmer be low in a difficult situation'. Again, when we produced more than 1 million liters of diesel exhaust fluid for the first time, we produced it considering the costs of the municipality, which increased by 10 times in a year, and the need it brought. It is possible to see the effect of this new understanding in all other products, from the de-icing solution that is harmless to the environment and people.”

HIGH DEMAND FROM EDİRNE TO KARS

Emphasizing that the products are offered for sale on e-commerce sites, retail and public sales platforms, Hazman also shared the following information:

“We can predict that these are big numbers in terms of record exports or the success in our other product groups that we talked about today, but that they will grow even more tomorrow and our steps will accelerate. I would like to express my gratitude to the management of the Metropolitan Municipality, especially to our President, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, to the management of BelPlas, to my colleagues, and to all our employees. Today, we meet all citizens from Edirne to Kars with all our products, and if we can carry it to the international market, we can do it with this team. BelPlas, which has generated a total income of 81 million 1 thousand 407 dollars (approximately 350 million TL) with the export of 25 tons of thermoplastic and two-component road marking paint and glass beads suitable for these paints, continues its negotiations with various countries.
