PREPARE FOR POSSIBLE DISASTER
Kocaeli, which was the epicenter of the Marmara Earthquake, the disaster of the century, on August 17, 1999, healed its wounds after the earthquake. While the buildings damaged in the earthquake are demolished with the works of the Metropolitan Municipality, studies are being carried out to be ready for new disasters that may occur. In this context, studies have started in the Food Production Facility, designed by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to serve the Marmara region in a possible disaster.
The foundation has been laid
The foundation concrete of the Food Production Facility, which was built in the Kullar Mahallesi of Başiskele district, which is under the ownership of the metropolitan area, on block 251 and plot 6, was poured. Column fabrication of the building continues. The Food Production Facility, which is planned to be completed in 420 days, will have a closed area of 5 square meters. The project will include dry and cold storage areas, food preparation, cooking, packaging and shipping sections.
WE WILL SERVE IN TIMES OF DISASTER
Food production areas and personnel units will be located on the ground floor. On the 1st floor, there will be administrative units and the cafeteria. The facility is planned to serve in times of disaster.
