Selçuk Akay, President of Halk Konut 3 Cooperative, also spoke to İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Bayraklı Referring to the efforts of the Municipality, “When the precedent increase decision was finalized, the blocked road was cleared and the end of the tunnel was seen. We cannot thank our mayors enough for providing this way out,” he said.

İZDEDA Cooperative Vice President Aytekin Keskin stated that the process that started with Dilber Apartment and continued with Çiçek Hanım Apartment became institutionalized with Kılıç Apartment and said, “With the protocol to be signed on September 30, 2022, it will reach the stage of constructing one thousand independent houses with cooperatives. This number will reach 2 independent residences with the buildings that have decided to become a cooperative and whose processes are continuing.”

Stating that they suffered as victims of the earthquake, İZDEDA President Haydar Özkan emphasized that they had difficulties in finding a way and said: “Our İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, who supported us in paving roads Tunç Soyer ve Bayraklı I would like to thank our Mayor Serdar Sandal once again.”

Municipal companies involved in the Halk Konut project provide contracting services to the cooperative with a symbolic profit rate of 1 percent.
