The works carried out in 2 phases in the Karya Junction area of Cahar Dudayev Boulevard were completed one month ahead of schedule with the intense work of the teams. The traffic flow at Karya Junction returned to its normal state in the early hours of today (September 12), when primary and secondary schools were opened. In the statement made by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the understanding, dedication and solidarity of the citizens during the works were thanked.

On the Çiğli Tramway line, the foundation of which was laid in February of last year, 80 percent of the manufacturing works were completed in a short time. After the tram line, which will consist of 11 kilometers and 14 stations, is completed at the end of 2022, it is planned to start test drives. The line, which will start from the Cevreyolu Station, will be connected to Çiğli Ataşehir Neighborhood with a viaduct. The route is planned to serve the Ring Road Station, Ataşehir, Çiğli Ataşehir District, Çiğli İZBAN Station, Çiğli Regional Training Hospital, Ata Industrial Zone, Katip Çelebi University and Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone. Thus, Çiğli Tram will breathe into the region, ease the traffic, and facilitate access to hospitals, universities and industry in the region.
