China Becomes the First in the World in Electricity Production Capacity

In the statement made by China's National Development and Reform Commission, it was stated that China currently ranks first in the world in terms of energy production and that the energy facilities in the country are being developed rapidly.

In the statement, it was reported that the power generation capacity of the power plants in China, which has the largest electricity generation system in the world, has reached 2,47 billion kilowatts, and the self-sufficiency rate in energy has remained stable above 80 percent for a long time.

According to the latest data, the capacity of China's renewable electricity generation has exceeded 1,1 billion kilowatts. On the other hand, it was stated that China ranks first in the world in terms of electricity production capacity with energies such as hydroelectric, wind, photovoltaic, biomass and nuclear.

Energy facilities in rural areas of China were also rapidly developed. In the last 10 years, it was noted that the Chinese government has allocated 430 billion yuan (about 67 billion 398 million dollars) to the renewal of the electricity grid in rural areas, increasing the rate of electricity generation in rural areas to 99.8 percent.
