Ahmet Emre Olur Was Caught in Tirana and Brought to Turkey

The Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Security announced that Ahmet Emre Olur, who is wanted by judicial authorities at the national level and is a member of the criminal organization Sedat Peker, was caught in Tirana, Albania and brought to Turkey.

The statement from the Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Security is as follows:

Sedat Peker, who was wanted by our judicial authorities at the national level for the crimes of "Threats", "Glorying the Crime and the Criminal", "Insulting", "Membership of an Organization Established to Commit a Crime", "Simple Injury", "Insulting with a Voice, Written or Video Message". Within the scope of the studies carried out to locate Ahmet Emre Olur, a member of the criminal organization, it was determined that the person went to North Macedonia from our country on 23.05.2021.

Correspondence was made with the Interpol units of North Macedonia and Balkan Countries regarding the location of the person and it was determined that he went to UAE-Abu Dhabi on 12.09.2022 via Albania Tirana. On 16.09.2022, after the National Intelligence Organization Presidency and Abu-Dhabi Embassy informed our Police Department that it would be deported from the UAE, it was determined that the person in question was going to Serbia as a result of the strict follow-up made by our Police Department. However, Serbian authorities could not give a positive response to our deportation request, as he was an international passenger. As a result of the direct contact established by the Albanian General Directorate of Security, Albanian Interpol and the Ministers of the Interior, the person who was determined to cross from Serbia to Albania Tirana was taken into custody by the Albanian police at Tirana Airport on 17.09.2022 at 06:00.

In this respect, Ahmet Emre Olur, who went to Albania-Tirana to pick up the person in question, was taken from Tirana-Albania on the flight at 18.09.2022:06 on 30 by Interpol and KOM Department officials, and was taken to Istanbul Airport for interrogation and judicial proceedings. It was handed over to the officials of the Department of Combating Organized Crime.”
