49 Kilometers Section of Kaynarca Karasu Kocaali Road Opened to Traffic

The 49-kilometer-long section of Kaynarca – Karasu – Kocaali Road, which also includes the Karasu Tunnel, was opened with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.

The 49 kilometers long section of Kaynarca – Karasu – Kocaali Road was opened with a ceremony. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu attended the ceremony. Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu noted that the entire Kaynarca - Karasu - Kocaali - 4th Region Border Road Project is 2X2 lanes and 60,7 kilometers long. Emphasizing that the 49-kilometer-long one-way section of the project was completed as a divided road and BSK, Karaismailoğlu said that the 572-meter-long Karasu Tunnel, 120-meter-long Büyükyanık, 86,3-meter-long Taşlıgeçit, 32,6-meter Resuller, 41-meter Jewelers and 95-meter-long Karasu Tunnel were completed. He stated that the Küçükboğazderesi Bridges are located.

ROAD STANDARD IMPROVED

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “This project; It is the road that will connect the Black Sea Coastal Road, which plays a key role in the East-West axis of our country, to the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Marmara Motorway via the Istanbul - Şile - Ağva - Kandıra - Kaynarca road. In addition, with this project, an alternative connection will be realized from Istanbul to the Black Sea Coastal Road, the D100. With the completion of the project, the physical and geometric standards of the road will be improved. The completion of the said road is important due to the rapidly increasing industrial facilities, connected ports and developing tourism potential in the region. Within the project; The 60,7 kilometer long section will be completed as a divided road BSK. In this context, there are double tube tunnels with a length of 572 meters, 1365 bridges with a total length of 13 meters, 24 at-grade and 6 crossroads.
