The 12th International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival Press Conference, organized by Adana Metropolitan Municipality and to be held on 18-2022 September 29, was held at Adana Metropolitan Municipality Theater Hall.
Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, Festival Executive Committee Chairman Menderes Samancılar, Festival Executive Board Member Nebil Özgentürk, Festival Cinema Programs Coordinator-Cinema Critic Esin Küçüktepepınar, Festival Executive Committee Member Güven Kıraç, Golden Boll General Manager-Festival Executive Board Member Hüseyin Orhan, At the press conference attended by Festival Executive Board Member and Festival Director İsmail Timuçin, questions of press members were also answered. Festival credits and trailers of the competition films were shown at the meeting.
ADANA IS A VERY IMPORTANT CITY FOR CINEMA
President Zeydan Karalar, who started his speech by explaining the history of cinema in our country, said that Adana comes to mind when cinema is mentioned in Turkey and Adana has an important contribution to the development of cinema.
President Zeydan Karalar, who commemorated the cinema artists who lost their lives recently and in the past, gave information about the festival program.
Stating that the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival has been meeting with the public for 3 years, President Zeydan Karalar noted that art lovers expect a festival with the taste of Adana and cinema.
YILMAZ GUNEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
Menderes Samancılar, who stated that they serve the country's cinema and that they want to continue the International Adana Atın Koza Film Festival forever, recited a poem on the occasion of the death anniversary of Yılmaz Güney, one of the most important names in Turkish Cinema. Menderes Samancılar stated that Yılmaz Güney will never be forgotten.
CINEMA IS A FESTIVAL, LONG LONG GOLDEN BOLL
Nebil Özgentürk, who started her speech by celebrating the Liberation of Izmir on September 9, also emphasized the many cinema artists who grew up in Adana and the writers of letters who wrote screenplays in the cinema. Nebil Özgentürk said, “Cinema is a festivity, long live the Golden Boll” and told that he took Adana, where he spent his youth and childhood, with him wherever he went.

Indicating that he considers himself an honorary Adana citizen, Güven Kıraç emphasized that he is happy to be in a different role in many of the Golden Boll Film Festivals, and that the 29th International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival has a content that will make the audience happy.
REBORN FROM GOLDEN BOLL ASHES
Stating that the Golden Boll was reborn from its ashes and regained its name and rich content, Esin Küçüktepepınar also stated that the festival had a very good selection.
Hüseyin Orhan, who stated that the festival regained its name with President Zeydan Karalar, returned to its roots and met with the public, said that an effective festival awaits art lovers.
