The 100th Anniversary Events of Izmir's Liberation Continued in Air and on Land with Enthusiasm

Organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the 100th anniversary of the liberation of the city continued with enthusiasm in the air and on the ground. The performance of the teams, including Turkish Stars and Solo Türk, was breathtaking.

The activities for the 100th anniversary of the liberation of İzmir continue with all their enthusiasm in the air and on land. Thousands of Izmir residents watched the Turkish Stars and Solo Türk's air show for about an hour with admiration. The skies of Izmir were also cheered up with the greeting flight of General Aviation Aircraft and Izmir Clubs, the Hürkuş Demonstration Flight, the Gendarmerie Steel Wings show, the Police Aviation Grape Bunch, the Coast Guard Search and Rescue and Flyboard show.

Cavalry units on the streets of Izmir like 100 years ago

Demonstrations continued on land as well. The cavalry units were on the streets of Izmir with their imposing horses as on September 9, 1922. The people of Izmir showed great interest in the cavalry parading between Cumhuriyet Square and Gündoğdu Square.
