Visiting hours of Zeugma Mosaic Museum have been updated as 15-15 between 08.00 August and 22.00 September in line with the requests.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has changed the visiting hours of the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, which is one of the largest mosaic museums in the world and where important works, especially the "Gypsy Girl" mosaic, are the symbol of the city, for one month.
In this context, in line with the demand from visitors and tour guides, the gate of the museum will be open to visitors from 15:15 to 08.30:22.00 between August XNUMX and September XNUMX.

Zeugma Mosaic Museum, located on the Silk Road in Gaziantep, is among the most important museums in the world in terms of both its structural complex and the works in it. The museum, which was opened to visitors in 2011, draws attention with its unique floor mosaics of Zeugma, the most important center of the Roman Empire in the region, as well as its sections describing the beliefs, culture and daily life of the people who lived in the city at that time.
The 12 pieces of the Gypsy Girl Mosaic, the symbol of Zeugma Ancient City and Gazi city, which were smuggled abroad after being unearthed through illegal excavations, were exhibited by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the USA Bowling Green State University and Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin. It was brought to the lands it belongs to in November 2018 with their efforts and started to be exhibited at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum. Within the scope of the agreement, the mosaics were made with stones collected from the Euphrates River by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality team, and replicas of the mosaics were made and sent to the USA to be exhibited at the university's Wolfe Art Center. These mosaics, which are among the most interesting pieces of the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, which is visited by tens of thousands of tourists every year, play an important role in the promotion of Gaziantep.
