Working hard to make the capital a center of art, the Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a new project for candidates who want to both support the students preparing for the conservatory exams and meet with the stage.

Altındağ Youth Center, affiliated to the Women and Family Services Department, started a theater training process in the capital to discover new talents.

In the auditions held at Altındağ Youth Center on August 20-21, with the participation of approximately 14 candidates aged 200 and over, talent selection and evaluation exams were held in the field of theater acting, improvisation, eloquence, stage command and voice (music).

While 60 original and 10 substitute candidates have successfully completed the auditions, the trainings will start in September and will take place at the Altındağ Youth Center Theater Hall. Candidates will receive theater training for 9 months, accompanied by expert trainers.

Altındağ Youth Center Manager Murat Saykı, who stated that they organized auditions to bring new talents to the theater, gave the following information about the process:

“Our aim in the project we have started is to bring stagegoers and theatergoers together on stage and also to support our students who will receive conservatory education. There were approximately 200 applications. After the 2-day auditions are completed, we will start our training. After the trainings, we aim to show the various theater plays of our theater students, which we selected, free of charge to the people of Ankara.”

The candidates, one step closer to achieving their dreams by participating in the auditions organized by ABB, stated that they thanked them for the opportunity presented to them and said:

Fatma Ayse Sen: “My friend, who knew that I was doing research on theater, said that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality was holding auditions. As a theater lover, I auditioned. I would like to thank everyone who contributed."

Esmanur Erden: “Since I was little, I had a dream of theater. My father also saw that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality would organize auditions for theater education, and he told me. I am very happy that I auditioned today.”
