Semih Akman has been appointed as the Continuous Development Department Manager at DHL Express Turkey, the founder of fast air transportation in our country. Semih Akman has been appointed as the manager of the Continuous Development Department, which was established last year, after the one-year term of Robert Ryan, who was appointed from DHL Express Global.
Akman, who has been working for DHL Express Turkey since 2016, started his career as an Engineering and Process Development Specialist. In 2019, he served as the Engineering Studies Officer at the Istanbul Airport Project. After successfully completing the project, he was appointed to the position of Sort Control Manager in 2020.
Akman, who made great contributions to the company with his work that increased efficiency in operations in 2017, became one of the "Talent" candidates presented to the European Senior Management by DHL Express Turkey in 2020 due to his achievements. In the same year, he was appointed as the Sort Control Manager, where he undertook the establishment of the department and the team. Together with his team, he successfully implemented the Automatic Storage and Recall System, which was established for the first time in the world, and the mechanical handling systems, which were the first in Turkey.
Akman; As of August 1, he will start his duty in the Continuous Development Department, which is responsible for identifying areas of improvement in order to increase performance and customer satisfaction.
