Minister Karaismailoğlu, who examined the works of the tunnel construction site between the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Manager Hasan Pezük and Toprakkale - Bahçe Stations, stated that they will put the high-speed train line into the service of Osmaniye in 2025.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu organized a series of examinations and meetings in Osmaniye. Minister Karaismailoğlu examined the works of the Kadirli-Osmaniye road construction site and the tunnel construction site between TCDD Toprakkale - Bahçe Stations. Providing information about transportation investments, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We made our country the 6th high-speed train operator in Europe and the 8th in the world. We have increased our total railway network to 13 thousand 22 kilometers.” used his statements.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, stating that they have accelerated their railway investments in Osmaniye, said, “We also accelerated railway investments in Osmaniye. We will put our high-speed train line into the service of Osmaniye in 2025.” said.

Minister Karaismailoğlu then made inspections with TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük at the Tunnel Construction Site between Toprakkale and Garden Stations. Giving good news to the people of Osmaniye for the high-speed train, Minister Karaismailoğlu noted that Turkey, located in the Middle Corridor of the Iron Silk Road, between Asia and Europe, from China to London, is an important center in international freight and passenger transportation.

Underlining that the railways have historical and strategic importance beyond the economic and social life of this country and these lands, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Our country, located in the Middle Corridor of the Iron Silk Road, between Asia and Europe, from China to London, It is a center for freight and passenger transport. The investment we made for the development of our country's railways during the period of our governments is appreciated by everyone. We are knitting our country with iron nets again. We increased our railway length, which was 2003 kilometers in 10.959, to 13 kilometers. We continue the construction of a total of 50 kilometers of railway. In addition, we continue the construction, tender and survey-project works on a total of 4 kilometers of railway line throughout the country. We have largely solved Turkey's infrastructure problem that has been going on for years. our country; We have transformed it into an international corridor in every mode of transportation between Asia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and the Caucasus and the Northern Black Sea countries. We have successfully completed and put into service giant transportation projects such as Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, Istanbul Airport, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line, Filyos Port, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, 693 Çanakkale Bridge, İzmir-İstanbul, Ankara-Niğde and Northern Marmara Highways. 3 BILLION 755 MILLION TL INVESTMENT IN OSMANİYE

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who said that while putting giant projects into the service of our nation, we accelerated the infrastructure works in our provinces, said, “We made an investment of 3 billion 755 million liras for Osmaniye's transportation and communication investments during our governments. Between 2003 and 2022, we made a total railway investment of 2 billion liras in Osmaniye. During our governments in Osmaniye; Yenice-Fevzipaşa-Narlı Line We renewed the 55-kilometer railway between Taşoluk-Fevzipaşa-Beyoğlu. We also renewed the 46-kilometer railway on the Iskenderun-Toprakkale Line. We have completed the studies of the railway junction line connection to the Industrial Facilities, Yumurtalık Free Zone Industrial Centers and ports in Çukurova Region and Iskenderun Bay. As you know, we have a 74-kilometer railway network within the provincial borders of Osmaniye.” used his statements.

FAST TRAIN LINE TO BE COMPLETED IN 2025

Providing information about the Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep High Speed ​​​​Train Project, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, "We have planned it as a double-track, electric and signaled line, suitable for 200 kilometers per hour, connecting the Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia Regions. The work on this big project continues in 6 sections. The current distance between Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep is 361 kilometers. With the completion of the project, this distance will decrease to 295 kilometers, and the transportation time between the two lines will decrease from 6 hours and 23 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes. With the completion of the line, the Adana-Osmaniye travel time will also decrease from 80 minutes to 40 minutes. The Toprakkale-Garden section of this great project will be 58 kilometers. On this line; There are 16 tunnels of 516 meters, 32 bridges and viaducts of 602 meters, as well as 6 underpasses and overpasses. We achieved a physical progress of 30 percent in the infrastructure works of the 13-kilometer tunnel section on the route. The infrastructure of the remaining 56 km route and the superstructure and Electrical-Signalization and Telecommunication works of the entire line will be completed by our General Directorate of Infrastructures. We plan to complete our line in 45 and open it to the service of our people. Our high-speed train line will be one of our most important lines in terms of logistics.”

Minister Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows; “As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we adopt a multimodal system that complements each other in our land, air, rail and sea routes. As in all transportation modes, we have determined the road maps for the upcoming period in our railway investments and targets. According to our 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan, in railways; We will increase the share of passenger transportation from 1% to 6,20 percent. Freight transportation share from 5 percent to 22 percent; We will increase the number of provinces with high-speed train connections from 8 to 52. We will increase the annual passenger transportation from 19,5 million to 270 million. Annual freight transport will reach 55 million tons from 448 million tons. We will create a safe, fast, efficient and effective railway infrastructure. In railways, we will meet 35 percent of the total energy need from renewable energy sources.”
