Four International Agreements in the Official Gazette

The 4 international agreements approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the Official Gazette. The decision on the implementation of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on Grants in the Field of Health” signed in Ankara on 20 April was published in the Official Gazette.

The agreement includes donations of vaccines, anti-serums and drugs in amounts specified as a gesture of friendship and goodwill by Turkey to the TRNC.

The decision regarding the approval of the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on Cooperation in the Field of Water”, signed in Ankara on August 18, 2021, was also published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, for the development, management and protection of water resources, the parties will cooperate through the sharing of knowledge, experience and technology on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit within the framework of their national legislation.

The decision on the approval of the “Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Youth and Sports between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Niger”, signed in Niamey on 21 July 2020, was published in the Official Gazette.

The agreement undertakes to promote and support the development and strengthening of relations between the two countries in the field of sports.

According to the decision on the approval of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Niger on Cooperation in the Fields of Information Technologies and Diplomatic Archives” signed in Ankara on August 15, 2019, it is aimed to establish the basis of comprehensive cooperation in the fields of information technologies and diplomatic archives of the two countries.

The effective dates of some international agreements have been determined.

On the other hand, the decision on determining the dates of entry into force of some international agreements signed by Turkey was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, the effective date of the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Swiss Federal Council on Gainful Activities Regarding the Accompanying Members of the Diplomatic Mission, Consulate and Permanent Representation” signed in Ankara on March 22, 2019 has been determined as May 14, 2022.

The effective dates of some of the agreements signed by Turkey in the Official Gazette are listed as follows:
