Just before fainting, you may experience blackouts, dizziness, and ringing in the ears. Injury may occur when falling, as consciousness will turn off. Hunger, fatigue, thirst, stress, standing for a long time, being in a crowd, heat and stuffiness can be triggering and facilitating factors.
Fainting caused by the failure of blood pressure and heart rate control to keep up with the rapid changes in the body and the control disorder of the autonomic system in children in the rapid growth period is called vasovagal syncope or neurocardiogenic syncope in medical language.
In the child who faints, first a careful history is taken and a physical examination is performed.
