Sculptor Özge Akay's first solo ceramic exhibition, 'Earth Faces', was presented to art lovers at LeBon Home, which serves in the field of home decoration and furniture on Urla Art Street.
Özge Akay, who stated that she wanted to draw a new direction for herself after working in corporate life for years, and that she received training on theater, writing, ceramics and sculpture, said that her works are an important tool to embody her feelings.
Stating that he usually deals with the theme of women in his sculptures and that each of his works has a story, Akay said, “I had a passion for writing since I was little. Based on these articles I wrote, I produced and presented each of my sculptures with their story. I bring my sculptures to life with the technique of shaping by hand. 10 different works of mine are exhibited here. This is my first solo exhibition. I have participated in 2 group exhibitions before. I continue my art works in Istanbul and Ayvalık. I also have my own ceramic workshop in Istanbul,” he said.
