The excitement started to increase as the start day approached in Baja Troia Turkey, which will be organized by the Istanbul Offroad Club (İSOFF) between September 22-25 this year as a candidate for the FIA 2022 Cross-Country Bajas European Cup.
For the race to be organized in Çanakkale and its surroundings, a Coordination Meeting was held on 1 August at Çanakkale Truva Hotel. Race coordination team headed by İSOFF Board Member Selahattin Toper, Çanakkale Governorship, Municipality, Tourism and Culture Provincial Directorate, Provincial Health Directorate, AFAD, Forestry Regional Directorate, Provincial Police Department and Provincial Gendarmerie under the chairmanship of Çanakkale Deputy Governor and Special Administration Secretary General Abdullah Köklü. Command, Ayvacık and Bayramiç District Governorate, Provincial Special Administration, Automobile Sports Provincial Representative gave information about the race program, stages and safety procedures to be applied.
Total stage length is 900 km. Baja Troia will last for 4 days on the track, which is 550 km. in Turkey, around the villages of Bayramiç, Terziler, Kuşçayırı, Karapınar and Salihler. A total of 8 special stages will be run in length. Among the stages, there will also be a special stage for the audience, prepared in the center of Çanakkale. 9 registrations have been made from Italian, Bulgarian and Turkish teams to the organization whose registrations continued until September 35.
