Today, a protocol to start the construction was signed between İZBETON, a subsidiary of the Metropolitan, and İş Alemi Yeni Yaşam Housing Building Cooperative. With the protocol, 422 independent units will be built in the third phase, which will include residences, sub-residential offices and a hotel. “We will finish as promised”
Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer, reminding once again that they are determined to solve İzmir's urban transformation problem from the root, said, “We are creating earthquake-resistant, safe and healthy neighborhoods in İzmir. Our most important point in the urban transformation process is to do the right and fair thing in transformation; not to separate anyone from their place, neighborhood or neighbor. We will finish this job as we promised, by consensus, agreement, consultation and decision together.
Creating a new living space in Uzundere
Having completed the construction of 817 independent units in the first two stages in the Uzundere urban transformation area, the Metropolitan signed a protocol with the municipality company İZBETON to start the construction works of the third stage on January 28. Within the scope of the project, the foundation of the social facilities, which will be put into the service of the people of the region, including a kindergarten, study center and library, was laid. In the fourth stage, a contract was signed with the right holders, title deed transfers were made, the drawing of lots was completed, and the preparations for the tender continue.
When the project, which continues in stages in Uzundere, is completed, there will be a total of 3 units of residence, commercial, office and hotel complex. Within the scope of the project, the region will gain two social cultural centers and an open market area, a recreation area of approximately 800 thousand square meters and a green area, a road and a parking area of 67 thousand square meters. The Metropolitan Municipality is renewing the infrastructure of the region in stages. Natural gas, electricity, stream improvement, storm water, sewage, drinking water, landscaping and road application projects were prepared and approvals were obtained from the relevant institutions. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which makes the necessary productions for natural gas, also completed the upper stream branch improvement, storm water, sewerage and drinking water lines in the first stage.
