Instructing the first pile manufacturing works for the 10,1-kilometer section of the total 1,1-kilometer line, İmamoğlu said that the production of the line was taken over incorrectly. Informing that they had to dismantle a section of about two kilometers due to a project error, İmamoğlu said, “The Eminönü - Alibeyköy line is a line that was tendered before us, but we did almost the majority of the work. More interestingly, while such underground problems were not resolved, they laid rails on it and left. Even the rail was not laid in certain places. Concretes poured there collapsed. We are currently making a kind of viaduct by driving 80 meters high stakes underground. It's a tough job, but it's just a little bit left.” Informing that the Eminönü section of the line will be put into service at the end of 2023, İmamoğlu heralded that Istanbul will have a very beautiful square with the removal of Eminönü Bus Platforms as part of the work.

For example, the project of the Unkapanı junction here has not been resolved. How the train will pass under it is not solved. We designed these. We produced it. Therefore, people are looking here. WORKS TO BE COMPLETED IN 2023
Noting that they plan to complete the works and open the rest of the line to service in 2023, İmamoğlu said, “Not only our tram is working, we also built a viaduct. On the other hand, we made all the transitions of İSKİ. Again, we made a tunnel work for İSKİ to transfer the wastewater of this region to Yenikapı.”
Giving the good news that Istanbul will have a very beautiful area with the completion of the works, İmamoğlu said, “Eminönü Square, where IETT buses are currently located, will perhaps turn into one of the most beautiful squares in Istanbul. Both the square and those different occupations in the front will disappear. This place will turn into a sparkling green space. It has a section that provides pedestrian crossing on one side. So it will no longer cut bridges there. With a new arrangement, it will have a very contemporary look.”

OPEN TO SERVICE IN 2021
Eminönü-Alibeyköy Tramway, whose construction was started by İBB in 2016, but no progress could be made, was accelerated with the coming to power of the new İBB administration and on January 1, 2021, the 9-kilometer Alibeyköy-Cibali section of the line was put into operation.
A NEW LIBRARY OPENED IN PENDIK
Hasan Izzettin Dinamo Library, designed with the aim of turning libraries into information centers, has an area of 800 square meters. With its large capacity of 250 people, it will serve all Istanbul residents, especially Pendik people. The collection of the library has a rich collection of 18 thousand books in many different disciplines from history to literature, from political science to philosophy, from research and analysis to art.
