From 2013 to July 2022, the courses given by technical staff under the coordination of 81 Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry are held in Public Education Centers affiliated to the National Education Directorates. Those who attend the 13-day and 120-hour training receive a certificate. 2029 thousand 47 people who participated in the 359 education program organized throughout the country so far received certificates.
To be able to establish a sheep pen and goat shelter, to choose sheep and goat breeds, to feed and care for small cattle, to reproduce, to breed, to protect and fight against infectious and animal diseases, to have command of biosecurity practices, Subjects such as milking are taught.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry pays 6 TL to businesses that employ certified herd managers. In 2013-2021, support payments were made to 42 enterprises by the General Directorate of Livestock.
TRAINING TO FARMERS IN 450 SUB-SUBJECTS
On the other hand, farmer trainings of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continue.
Under the coordination of the Department of Education and Broadcasting, technical staff provide training on 81 sub-subjects in 450 provinces. The trainings consist of the following topics:
Farm plants: Cereals, Legumes, Industrial Plants, Oil Seeds, Tubers, Grassland-Passage Forage Crops, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.
Fruiting: Soft Seeds, Dried Seeds, Citrus Fruits, Nuts, Berries
Farming: Cattle Husbandry, Ovine Husbandry, Poultry Breeding, Aquaculture, Beekeeping, Sericulture, Feeds and Feed Production.
Vegetables: Edible Leaf Vegetables, Leguminous Vegetables, Fruit Edible Vegetables, Onion, Tuber and Root Vegetables, Other Vegetables, Mushrooms.
Food: Food safety etc. sub-topics of food.
Mechanization: Seed Preparation Machines, Soil Cultivation Machines, Sowing and Planting Machines, Fertilization Machines, Plant Care Machines, Plant Protection Machines, Harvest-threshing Machines, Livestock Mechanization
Greenhouse Vegetables: Greenhouse Plant and Other Operations Related to Greenhouse, Greenhouse Vegetable Cultivation, Edible Leaf Vegetables, Leguminous Vegetables, Edible Fruits, Bulbous, Tuber and Root Vegetables
Ornamental Plants: Outdoor Ornamental Plants Cultivation, Indoor (Greenhouse) Ornamental Plants Cultivation, Oil Rose etc.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci stated that they attach great importance to education in agriculture.

Kirişci underlined that they want to change their perspective on rural areas for the further development of agriculture, which is a strategic sector, and stated that they will continue to support rural citizens within this framework.
