The Electric Multiple Units (EMU) and Comprehensive Inspection Train (CIT), exported from China to Indonesia and to be used on the high-speed rail between Jakarta and Bandung, departed from the port of Qingdao to Indonesia.

The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project is an example of concrete cooperation between China and Indonesia within the framework of Belt and Road joint construction. The EMU and CIT sent to Indonesia were designed and manufactured by Qingdao Sifang Company of China Railway Vehicles Corporation (CRRC).

The train was custom built for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail using Chinese standards with a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The first batch of trains departing from Qingdao Port are expected to arrive in Indonesia's Jakarta Port by the end of August and then be transported by road to Bandung.

The 142 kilometers long Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway has a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The entire line uses Chinese technology and Chinese standards. Upon completion of its construction, this line will be the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
