CIMER was asked when the restoration of the historical Haydarpasa Train Station, one of the landmarks of Istanbul, which was severely damaged by the fire in 2010, will be completed. In the response, it was said, "The completion date of the works related to the station has not been clarified."

The restoration of the historical Haydarpaşa Train Station, which is one of the symbols of Istanbul, which was put into service in 1908 and which was heavily damaged in the fire that broke out 12 years ago, has still not been completed.

The roof and fourth floor of the historical building were largely damaged in the fire, which was extinguished in two and a half hours after the intervention from the sea and land. Restoration and repair works started after the fire have not been completed for years. The scaffolding, which was built outside the historical building, cannot be dismantled for years because the works could not be completed.
