The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) warned of the strong downpour expected to begin after noon in the provinces of Çanakkale, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ and Balıkesir, located in the north of Marmara.
The statement from MGM said:
“Heavy precipitation is expected in the west of Marmara. According to the last evaluation; After noon today, as local strong downpours and thunderstorms are expected in Çanakkale, Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ surroundings and north of Balıkesir, it is possible to face the negativities such as sudden flood, flood, lightning, local hail, and the risk of strong wind and tornado formation during precipitation. It is necessary to be careful and cautious.”
