President Büyükakın Inspected Kartepe Cable Car Construction Onsite

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın examined the construction of the Kartepe Cable Car Project, which Kocaeli residents have dreamed of for years and will add a new dimension to transportation to the city, on site. President Büyükakın received information from company officials about the project, which is planned to bring a vision to the city in every aspect. Kartepe Cable Car Project will provide transportation between Derbent and Kuzuyayla Nature Park. In the examination, President Büyükakın was accompanied by AK Party Kocaeli Provincial President Mehmet Ellibeş, Kartepe Mayor Mustafa Kocaman and Deputy Secretary General Gökmen Mengüç.

The tender for the project, which Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality added a new one to the transportation networks in the city and aimed to add vitality to tourism with the cable car system, was completed. Project contract Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GMBH/Grand Yapı Teleski Telesiej Teleferik İhr. İth.Tic. LLC. signed with the firm. The construction phase of the cable car project, which was carried out jointly with Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, started in June. The project, which continues to work immediately, is expected to be completed in 480 days.

The cable car line that will run between Derbent and Kuzuyayla will be 4 thousand 695 meters long. Turkey's first domestic cable car system will consist of a single rope, detachable terminal and cabins for 10 people. In the cable car project, which will include 2 stations, 10 cabins for 73 people will serve.

14 MINUTES WILL CONTINUE

The elevation distance on the cable car line with a capacity of 1500 people per hour will be 1090 meters. Accordingly, the starting level will be 331 meters and the arrival level will be 1421 meters. The distance between the two stations will be exceeded in 14 minutes.
