The "Mountain Bike Festival", organized for the 9th time this year in Edirne's Keşan district, will be held between 10-11 September.
The main theme of the organization, which will be held in cooperation with Keşan Municipality and Keşan Nature Environment and Culture Association (DOÇEK), was determined as “Stop deaths by bicycles”.
Keşan Mayor Mustafa Helvacıoğlu said that the organization will be around the Saros Gulf and that they say to those who love cycling, "Come on, take your bike, and don't let the roads take your bike."
DOÇEK President Hakan Eşme stated that the main theme of the festival this year was “Stop deaths by bicycles” and that there are bitter examples in this regard in Turkey, and said:
“In the last 2 years, 285 of our cyclist friends died in traffic accidents. This is a heartbreaking situation. Efforts are underway to raise awareness across Turkey on this issue. We determined the main theme on this.”
Eşme stated that the festival is an organization with its own unique tracks throughout Turkey.
