Free city tours organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tourism Branch Office will start on September 5. The tours, in which more than 3 thousand people from Izmir participate in the spring term, will this time offer the participants the opportunity to discover the beauties of autumn. Registration for the tours to be held every weekday starts tomorrow (September 1).
From Kozak to Kültürpark…
The fall semester routes of the tours accompanied by professional tourist guides are Kozak Plateau, Sığacık, Urla, Bergama, Bayındır, Karşıyaka, Kültürpark, 8500 Years of History Tour in One Day and Kemeraltı.
Routes specific to Kemeraltı
There is a great interest in thematic walking routes. Izmir, which is a candidate to be the city with the most destinations in the UNESCO heritage list, has been successful in being included in the temporary list, "Historical Harbor City" route, "Kemeraltı Stories" containing the stories of names and events that add value to Izmir, "Kemeraltı" where photography enthusiasts will catch colorful images.
