Red Bull Flight Day, which was suspended for two years due to the pandemic, will be held again on the Caddebostan Beach on August 14 with the support of IMM. Human-powered vehicles will soar through the sky by jumping off the ramp.

The Red Bull Flight Day, which was last held in the summer of 2019 and could not be repeated for two years due to the Covid-19 outbreak, will be held for the fifth time with the support of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Participants will try to fly the longest distance by jumping from a six-meter ramp with their human-powered vehicles. The event, which will present a visual feast to the audience, will give Istanbul residents moments of excitement and fun.

FULL SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATION FROM IMM

IMM, with its many units under the coordination of the Youth and Sports Directorate, will support the organization that will give Istanbulites a wonderful weekend. IMM equipment support; sea, area and coastal cleaning, personnel support; Square, beach and area allocation, control and inspection, assignment of police and taking measures in matters falling under the jurisdiction of the municipal police and parking permit; will contribute to the organization in promotional matters before, during and after the organization day. In addition, IMM, which will keep ambulance and health teams ready in order to respond to possible medical emergencies, will assign fire trucks and teams to respond to possible fire, accident and disaster situations.

39 TEAMS WILL FLY

On the 5th Red Bull Flight Day, 4 teams of 39 each will take part. All teams will take part in the competition with the vehicles they designed specially for the Flight Day. Vehicles where the use of igniter or launcher systems such as engines, fuel, batteries, electricity, catapults and the like is prohibited, will work entirely with human power.

THEY WILL JUMP FROM 6 METERS TO THE SEA

In the organization that will be held on the Caddebostan Coast on August 14 with the slogan "We're Putting Istanbul in Flight Mode", the teams will both exhibit their vehicles and fight to fly the longest distance by jumping from a six-meter ramp to the sea. At the end of the organization where the vehicles will be evaluated according to the distance traveled in the air, the creativity of the vehicle and the show criteria, the captain of the finalist team with the highest first score in all categories will be entitled to travel to a Red Bull Flight Day or Red Bull Driving Day event to be held in the European continent. The captain of the finalist team with the second highest score will also have the right to flight experience with Dario Costa, one of the world's most important demonstration pilots, who broke the world record for the "Longest Tunnel Flight by Airplane" in Istanbul. The captain of the finalist team with the third highest score in all three criteria will be rewarded with a tandem parachute jump experience. The captain of the team that manages to fly the furthest with the vehicle they designed in the event will win the longest flight ticket and receive the captain pilot training award.

All Istanbul residents will be able to come to the event area and watch the 5th Red Bull Flight Day, where many stage programs will be held throughout the day, and competitions and music performances for the audience will add color. Tens of thousands of people are expected to watch the event, which will start at 14:11.00 on August XNUMX.
