Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu noted that Çamlıca Tower, one of the landmarks of Istanbul, continues to attract attention and announced that the Tower has hosted more than 788 thousand visitors since its opening.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a written statement about the Çamlıca Tower. Emphasizing that they have implemented the projects that the world envy, Karaismailoğlu stated that they have fit the works that will be accomplished in 100 years into 20 years. Expressing that 1 trillion 606 billion liras have been invested in transportation and communication infrastructure, Karaismailoğlu pointed out that one of them is Çamlıca Tower.
Reminding that the tower was opened on May 29, 2021, Karaismailoğlu said, “The length of Çamlıca Tower is 369 meters and its height from sea level is 587 meters. With this feature, it is the highest tower in Europe.”
Pointing out that visual pollution has been removed with the tower, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “The old 33 antennas that cause electromagnetic and visual pollution have been removed and a symbolic structure has been given to our country in their place. In addition, in the broadcasting activities that started in Çamlıca Tower, for the first time in the world, 100 radio broadcasts are carried out from the same point, without interrupting each other's power and without interfering with each other.
IT HAS BEEN FAVORITE OF TOURISTS IN ISTANBUL
Underlining that the Camlica Tower, which gives Istanbul a new silhouette and social space, attracts the attention of everyone from 7 to 70, Karaismailoğlu reported that 788 thousand 241 people have visited the Tower since the day it was opened. Announcing that 1 thousand 20 people were hosted in the Tower between January 455 and August 945, Karaismailoğlu stated that the Tower has become the center of attention not only of citizens but also of tourists. Karaismailoğlu stated that in the Camlica Tower, which also contributes to the tourism of Istanbul, there are souvenir shops, a cafeteria, and viewing terraces with a view of Istanbul.
