A shocking truth came to light in the drinking water line renovation works that İSKİ started at the beginning of the week in Sarıyer district. It was understood that the road on Hacıosman Bayırı Caddesi, where tens of thousands of cars pass daily, is at risk of collapse.
5 CRACKS DETECTED IN 2 DAYS
İSKİ's infrastructure work continues for 1.100 km from Hacıosman Bay to the Tarabya junction. During the works that started on Monday, it was determined that the bottom of the road was emptied in two different places in the first 5 days. The reason for the collapse is shown as the storm water collector working hard and engulfing the ground during heavy rain. Another reason is water leakage. Water leakage can occur from the holes formed in the pipes that have lost their life. Escaping water can cause settlements and collapses on the ground. In the heavy rains on Wednesday, 69 kg of precipitation per square meter fell in Sarıyer district.

On the one hand, while the pipes that have expired are renewed, the collapses detected on the road are filled with crushed stone. The new steel pipes that İSKİ will place under the road will provide uninterrupted service to the people of the region for 40 years.
