Gebze Technical University (GTU), which hosts Dronepark, where important activities are carried out in the field of UAV technology, and Fly BVLOS Technology, a subsidiary of Coşkunöz Holding, which is also located in Dronepark and brings a new breath to the UAV industry, are opening up to Taiwan. Gebze Technical University and Fly BVLOS Technology, which participated in the Taiwan-Turkey UAV Technology Forum held in Chiayi, Taiwan, signed an agreement with Taiwan Formosa University to "encourage and strengthen academic and technical exchange and cooperation in the field of UAV technology". With the agreement, Fly BVLOS Technology became a partner of UAV Technology Center, headquartered in Taiwan and working in the field of UAV technology.

With the partnership, Fly BVLOS Technology, which has signed cooperation agreements with leading companies in technology development in the world to carry out R&D activities together, will soon open an R&D office at the International UAV Technology Center. R&D activities will be carried out especially for products such as motors, chips and batteries. In addition, all stakeholders will share their expertise and experience in the field of UAV technologies.

On behalf of Fly BVLOS, the founder of Fly BVLOS, Kamil Demirkapu, on behalf of Gebze Technical University, Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar, former rector Prof. Dr. Muhammed Hasan Aslan and rector Shinn-Liang Chang attended on behalf of Taiwan Formosa University.

In GTU Dronepark, which is unique in the world, training and technology programs and R&D studies are carried out in which UAV technologies are discussed in an international context for the first time in our country. Operating in Dronepark, FLY BVLOS Technology, on the other hand, contributes to the Turkish economy with its world-class qualified UAV pilot trainings and the UAVs it produces. While GTU and Fly BVLOS transfer their experience in UAV production to Taiwan, they will also benefit from the work of Taiwan Formasa University, an important technology manufacturer, and its partner UAV Technology Center.

Demirkapu: “Some of the best UAVs in the world are made by Turkish engineers”

Speaking at the ceremony, Fly BVLOS founder Kamil Demirkapu made the following assessments about the agreement: “We are extremely happy and proud to be here today for such a cooperation. Taiwan; It is a very valuable country for us with its technology infrastructure, R&D activities, economy and production. Turkey, on the other hand, has come to an important place in the world with its breakthroughs in various fields from R&D to production. As everyone knows very well, some of the best Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the world are produced by Turkish engineers. Gebze Technical University hosts the Dronepark, which has training and technology programs in which UAV technologies that will change the entire business life, along with the logistics and aviation sectors of the future, are discussed internationally for the first time in our country. Our Fly BVLOS Technology company operating in Dronepark also makes us proud with its important achievements in the field of UAV production and UAV pilot training, although it has only been one year since its establishment. With this agreement, the experience of Taiwan Formosa University, which has carried out valuable academic studies in the field of UAV technology, will also join these two very strong partners from Turkey. With this cooperation, we aim to contribute both to our country's R&D and production activities in the field of UAVs and to make Turkey's expertise and experience more visible in the international community by signing important research and innovations in the sector.”
