Gendarmerie Explained the Importance of Seat Belts in Marmaris

With the "Traffic Training and Simulation Vehicle" commissioned by the Gendarmerie General Command, the importance of wearing seat belts was explained to the citizens in Marmaris District of Muğla.

Marmaris District Gendarmerie Command Traffic Teams showed the importance of seat belts to the citizens with the Traffic Training and Simulation Vehicle commissioned by the Gendarmerie General Command. The awareness event, attended by the teams of Marmaris District Traffic Registration and Inspection Bureau, was held in front of Atatürk corner on Kordon Street between 20.00 and 00.00 in the evening.

Citizens and tourists took turns getting on the simulation vehicle under the supervision of the Gendarmerie. It was shown by turning twice how an accident vehicle rolled over after the seat belt was fastened. Those who experienced excitement in the vehicle experienced live how important it is to wear a seat belt. Traffic Police, on the other hand, distributed informative flyers with the inscription "Life is in the seat belt". Children and foreign tourists got on the motorcycles parked by the Gendarmerie teams and took a souvenir photo.

Ahmet Demirci, who came to Ankara on holiday with his family, said, “The children of our Gendarmerie, who are intertwined with the public, both learn and are happy. It is a very successful and meaningful event.”

Metin Ali Dengin from Marmaris said, “I would have hit my head five times if I had not been wearing a seat belt. I understood once again the importance of seat belts.

Gaye Erüstün, who came on holiday from Izmir, said, “The seat belt really saves life. I thought I was dying. It is a very different and strange feeling, everyone should try this simulation and wear a seat belt.”
